Rosedale Funeral Service is Eastbourne’s longest running Independent Funeral Directors. Established in 1998, we’ve been serving the community locally, nationally and worldwide, with an emphasis on providing a service where quality is paramount.

We have a fantastic team here, and we pride ourselves on our professional, sensitive, caring and above all friendly approach to what is, for most of us, one of the most daunting experiences that we all have to undertake at some time in our lives.

The business is owned and run by Kevin Young, who has been a Funeral Director in Eastbourne since 1984.

It was because of the Nationalisation of the funeral industry that Kevin decided to open Rosedale in April 1998. He believes that the most important thing to offer a bereaved family is not only a professional, caring quality service, but also a level of personal care that is difficult to obtain from a larger national company.

Kevin is a fully qualified funeral director and holds the diploma in funeral directing. He is a member of and licensed by The British Institute of Funeral Directors.

As a company, we have a very good relationship with the clergy, officiants, doctors, nursing homes, police, the coroner and his officers as well as the other funeral directors in the town.
